About
Damilola

I’m a UI/UX Product Designer specialising in end-to-end Product Design across web, mobile and enterprise digital products, turning complex user and business needs into intuitive, scalable experiences.

I own the full design process: discovery, user flows, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, high-fidelity UI, development handoff and post-launch iteration.

My approach is user-centred. I use research, usability testing, feedback, analytics and behavioural insights to find pain points, validate solutions and make informed design decisions.

I work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders in Agile product teams, balancing customer needs, business objectives and technical feasibility while owning design independently and contributing to design reviews.

I’m driven by complex problems, thoughtful interaction design and building digital products that are visually strong, useful, accessible and measurable in impact.

Process

My process.

Grounded in understanding real problems, aligning user needs with business goals, and delivering solutions that are simple, scalable, and measurable.

1

Discovery

I begin every project with discovery, deeply understanding the problem through research, stakeholder alignment, and user insights. These findings guide the entire design phase.

2

Design

Design is where insights take shape. I translate research into clear user flows, wireframes, and intuitive interfaces, iterating through exploration, prototyping, and validation.

3

Delivery

Delivery is focused on refinement and execution. I finalize designs, validate usability, and prepare development-ready handoffs with clarity, consistency, and smooth implementation.

I primarily use Figma for design and prototyping. I also use FigJam for brainstorming and Miro for user flow mapping. For developer handoff, I use Figma Dev Mode.
It depends on the scope. A focused MVP can take 2-4 weeks, while a full multi-flow product typically takes 1-3 months. I'll give you a clear timeline during our discovery call.
Yes, my process includes iteration cycles at every stage. I typically build 2-3 rounds of revisions into each project phase to ensure the final design meets your expectations.
I've worked across Fintech & Financial Services, Digital Learning, B2B SaaS, Travel and Customer-Facing Digital Services.
Absolutely, I'm based in England, UK (GMT +1) and have adapted to team schedules across Europe and USA. I'm comfortable with async tools like Slack and Notion.
Yes, I'm actively looking for full-time product design roles. I'm open to fully remote positions and ready to start as soon as needed.
Yes. I deliver clean, developer-ready Figma files with proper component structure, auto-layout, and annotated specs using Figma Dev Mode.

Why hairstyle booking is still guesswork

Finding the right hairstyle and hairstylist is mostly guesswork. People scroll through social media, show up to a salon, and hope the stylist understands their vision. There’s no easy way to visualise a style on your own face before committing, and no reliable platform combining discovery, personalisation, and booking in one place.

The Solution

BladeRoom combines AI-powered hairstyle recommendations with a full booking and marketplace platform. Users scan their face, receive personalised suggestions, then use the TryOn feature to virtually see how any style looks on them before booking.

Two user types, one platform

Regular users discover styles and book appointments. Hairstylists apply to join, get approved, and their interface adapts to reveal management tools, while keeping the familiar core experience intact. Both users share access to wallet, marketplace and product ordering.

Key Design Decisions

Leading with the AI feature

The AI face scan and TryOn is the most unique part of BladeRoom. I designed it as the primary action on the Explore Styles tab which is the first thing users see when they’re ready to find a look, so it reads as the core of the app, not a buried feature.

Permission-based interface upgrade

Instead of a separate app for hairstylists, BladeRoom gives them an interface upgrade once approved. The core feels familiar, but stylist-specific tools appear naturally, reducing confusion and making onboarding seamless.

Mesh

Mesh is a dual-sided property marketplace app that lets sellers list properties and customers discover them, without splitting the experience into two separate products: one account, one visual language, one toggle between Seller and Customer throughout.

Why property marketplaces split the experience in half

Most property marketplaces force sellers and customers into separate products: separate apps, separate accounts, separate visual languages. A seller who occasionally wants to buy has to sign up all over again, and the whole experience feels disjointed instead of like one connected marketplace.

The Solution

Mesh removes the split. It is a dual-sided property marketplace app that lets sellers list properties and customers discover them, all inside one product with one account, one visual language, and one toggle between Seller and Customer throughout.

One account, two modes

Instead of building two separate apps, Mesh keeps a single account and a single toggle. Users flip between Seller and Customer without losing their context, their saved details, or their sense of where they are in the product.

Listing that feels effortless

For sellers, the flow is designed to feel light: pick a location, add the property, and confirm the listing in a few clear steps. For customers, discovery works the same way, with the same visual language carrying both sides of the marketplace.

HireWise

HireWise is an on-demand expert-hiring app: think “find and book a vetted professional” for services like design, home improvement, and consulting, with a dark, premium visual identity (navy/charcoal base, cyan accent, yellow CTA) and a full flow from discovery to payment.

Why finding the right expert still feels like guesswork

Finding and vetting a skilled professional for a specific job, a designer, a contractor, a consultant, is scattered across word-of-mouth, generic freelance marketplaces, and unverified listings. Customers have no fast way to compare experts by category, see real portfolio work, and pay securely in one place.

The Solution

A single app that takes a user from browsing categories to a completed, paid booking in a few structured steps: discover experts by category, view a detailed expert profile with services and portfolio, select a service, pay.

A dark, premium visual identity

The dark, high-contrast UI signals a premium, trustworthy service rather than a generic gig-marketplace feel. A consistent cyan accent drives the interactive elements, while yellow is reserved specifically for primary conversion actions like Get Started and Hire.
